Automation
In an automated process the control system must communicate with every controlled component and every transmitter.
Examples of the types of signals between the control system and the process which it controls are:
- output (command) signals which actuate components in the process;
- input (feedback) signals from valves and motors which inform the control system that the component in question has been actuated;
These signals are processed by the logic unit of the control system.
Alfa Laval provides a complete array of products capable of making this communication possible. From basic laterally mounted indication units to Control tops with built in high tech communication protocols. ThinkTop is Alfa Laval's flagship communications unit. Capable of communicating in Digital, AS-I and DeviceNet formats. Complete with up to 3 Solenoids to provide local control of any valves movement.
