Introduction To SSB Retractor Static
The Alfa Laval SSB Retractor is a pneumatic static spray ball with retractable features, contributing to safe and non-intrusive tank cleaning in hygienic applications. This design is intended to achieve fast and effective cleaning of process equipment, especially in scenarios where access is challenging or where intrusive cleaning equipment may interfere with production. SSB Retractor How It Work
The Alfa Laval SSB Retractor is designed with inlet and cleaner head in a telescopic system, which allows for easy installation and ensures effective self-draining. Self-cleaning is easily done due to the simple design and minimum wetted surface area. In the air-to-spring and the air-to-air version, it is possible to keep the retractor extended after cleaning to purge the system. Through targeted drilling of the spray ball, the unit can be customized to improve the cleaning efficiency for specific applications, such as duct or air vents.The SSB Retractor is available in three versions:The air-to-spring version activates extension of the retractor using air pressure and the retraction is spring-activatedThe air-to-air version activates both the extension and the retraction using air pressureThe media-to-spring version activates when the pressure from the cleaning media exceeds that of the spring.
