Introduction To ALS Agitators
The Alfa Laval ALS is a side-mounted agitator designed for hygienic mixing and blending in both atmospheric and pressurized tanks. With its versatile, modular, and hygienic design, the ALS agitator can be customized to meet various requirements and offers cost-effective and energy-efficient operation. It is particularly well-suited for sterile and aseptic applications due to its exceptional cleanability achieved through Cleaning in Place (CIP). Additionally, there is an ATEX-certified version available for use in potentially explosive environments.

ALS Agitators How It Work
The Alfa Laval ALS side-mounted agitator has an electrical drive motor that transmits the energy required for mixing and blending, either directly or via a gearbox, to the agitator shaft. The shaft rotates, turning the EnSaFoil impeller. The impeller movement creates a high flow with low shear due to the highly effective axial pumping effect on the liquid in the tank. This results in effective mixing and blending of the entire contents of the tank. . Options 1. Welding flange 2. Stainless steel cover for motor or gear motor 3. Spare part kit 4.
