Introduction To LKSV Float Valve
The Alfa Laval LKSV Float Valve is a self-acting shut-off valve connected by a hinged arm to a hollow ball floating at the end of a lever atop liquid in a balance tank, process tank, or container. Operating automatically, the valve opens or closes to uphold a consistent liquid level, dictated by the position of the ball float. It is important to note that the LKSV Float Valve is not recommended for use with liquids prone to foaming and those characterized by a relatively high pressure drop.

LKSV Float Valve How It Work
The Alfa Laval LKSV Float Valve is installed on the tank wall and the tank inlet tube is fixed to the valve. The seat opening is determined by the position of the float on the liquid. The movement of the float is transferred by mechanical connection to the valve which allows liquid flow into the tank to compensate for outward flow, thereby maintaining a constant liquid level in the tank.
