The Alfa Laval ALT is a top-mounted agitator featuring a free-hanging shaft designed for hygienic mixing and blending in both atmospheric and pressurized tanks. Its modular, versatile, and hygienic design allows for customization to meet various requirements, ensuring cost-effective and energy-efficient operation. The ALT agitator is particularly suitable for sterile and aseptic applications due to its exceptional cleanability achieved through Cleaning in Place (CIP). For use in potentially explosive environments, an ATEX-certified version of the ALT agitator is available.

ALT How It Work
The Alfa Laval ALT top-mounted agitator has an electrical drive motor that transmits the energy required for mixing and blending, either directly or via a gearbox, to the agitator shaft. The shaft rotates, turning the EnSaFoil impellers. The impeller movement creates a high flow with low shear due to the highly effective axial pumping effect on the liquid in the tank. This results in effective mixing and blending of the entire contents of the tank. . Options 1. Welding flange 2. Low level impeller 3. Stainless steel cover for motor/gear motor 4. Spare part kit 5.
