Introduction To GJ 4
The Alfa Laval GJ 4 is an industrial rotary jet head tank cleaning machine suitable for cleaning tanks with capacities ranging from 150 to 2250 cubic meters. Using a combination of pressure and flow, the GJ 4 generates high-impact cleaning jets that rotate in a consistent and repeatable 360-degree pattern, ensuring thorough and efficient tank cleaning. This machine minimizes water and cleaning media consumption. The gear train, utilizing food-grade lubricants, reduces the risk of particle damage during operation. Customizable to meet specific customer requirements, the GJ 4 enables companies to optimize their cleaning processes, allowing for increased production efficiency.
GJ 4 Application
The Alfa Laval GJ 4 is designed for the removal of the toughest residues from industrial tanks across a broad range of industries, such as the chemical, pulp and paper, ethanol, starch, transportation, and oil industries.
GJ 4 Benefits
Cleaning process can be validated using Alfa Laval Rotacheck
High-impact cleaning in a 360degree repeatable cleaning pattern
Saves up to 70percentage of your cleaning cost
60percentage faster cleaning equal more time for production
Slim design makes it possible to insert through small tank inlet openings
Eliminates the need for confined space entry for manual tank cleaning
GJ 4 How It Work
The high-impact jet stream from the Alfa Laval GJ 4 rotary jet head covers the entire surface of the tank interior in a successively denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water and cleaning media. The flow of the cleaning fluid makes the nozzles perform a geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, the nozzles lay out a course pattern on the tank surface. The subsequent cycles gradually make the pattern denser until at full cleaning pattern is reached. Once the full cleaning pattern is reached, the machine will start over again and continue to perform the next full cleaning pattern.
